Veterinary & Information Disclaimer

General educational information

Kyo's Kitchen publishes general educational information about foods, feeding and homemade dog treats. It is written to help you understand a food before you offer it, and to help you recognise when something needs professional attention.

Not veterinary diagnosis or treatment

Nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a substitute for examining your dog. We don't know your dog, and a web page can't assess one. For anything medical or dietary that is specific to your dog, your veterinarian is the right person to ask.

Every dog is different

Body size, age, breed, existing health conditions, medications, allergies, sensitivities and the rest of the daily diet all change whether a particular food is a good idea and in what amount. A food we describe as generally safe can still be the wrong choice for an individual dog — for example one with pancreatitis, a kidney condition, diabetes or a known intolerance.

Suspected poisoning and urgent symptoms

If you think your dog has eaten something toxic, or you are seeing worrying symptoms, get professional guidance promptly — your veterinarian, an out-of-hours veterinary service, or an animal poison service in your country. Don't wait for a reply from our contact form, and please don't rely on general web pages, including ours, to decide whether an exposure is serious. We deliberately do not publish at-home treatment instructions.

Evidence changes

Veterinary and toxicology guidance is revised over time. We update pages as sources change, and every page shows the date it was last updated. If you spot something that looks out of date or wrong, please tell us — corrections come before new content.

How we treat this disclaimer

This page exists to be honest about the limits of written guidance, not to excuse sloppy content. Our editorial policy describes the sourcing and correction standards we hold ourselves to, and this disclaimer does not remove any responsibility we have under applicable law.
